Hello Students and Primary Student Contacts,
Optional Student Event – Excused Attendance Opportunity
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, students have the opportunity to attend a Teen Dating Violence & Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Awareness event at Central Wyoming College (CWC).
The event begins at 9:00 a.m. (with additional programming at 10:00 a.m.) and is part of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
Governor Mark Gordon will be present to speak and sign a proclamation recognizing February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. The event will also feature Ms. Tai Simpson, who will speak about the dangers of teen dating and domestic violence and its connection to MMIP.
Parents/guardians will have to excuse their student if they wish for them to attend this educational awareness event. Please contact the school prior to the event to excuse your student.
