RHS Wrestling News...
RHS Wrestling held a dual against Kelly Walsh on Thursday, losing 48-26 in a hard-fought dual (Kelly Walsh is ranked #2 in 4A).
On Friday, the Varsity girls and boys competed at the Thoman dual tournament in Green River. The boys went 2-1 on Friday in pool play. On Saturday, they went 2-0 and won the Silver bracket.
The RHS girls combined with the Rock Spring girls and matched up with 6 other teams, earning a first-place team finish.
Individual results & recognitions:
Weston McLaughlin went undefeated and was selected for the Best-of-the-Best. He won Best of the Best @ 175#
Hailee Cooper and Aleah Marquez were selected for the Best-of-the-Best in the girl's division.
Hailee Cooper won Best of the Best @ 105#
Aleah Marquez placed second in Best of the Best in a hard-fought match.
Autumn Osborne was chosen for the Thoman spirit award for exhibiting extraordinary sportsmanship.

Ayden Sanchez. Ayden had a successful weekend @ the Thoman Tournament. He showed up to wrestle and gave it his all. He has really grown in confidence, and it showed on the mat. Hopeful to see him on the podium at State in his senior year. Great job, Ayden.

Optional Student Event – Excused Attendance Opportunity
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, students have the opportunity to attend a Teen Dating Violence & Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Awareness event at Central Wyoming College (CWC).
The event begins at 9:00 a.m. (with additional programming at 10:00 a.m.) and is part of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
Governor Mark Gordon will be present to speak and sign a proclamation recognizing February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. The event will also feature Ms. Tai Simpson, who will speak about the dangers of teen dating and domestic violence and its connection to MMIP.
Parents/guardians may excuse their student if they wish for them to attend this educational awareness event. Please contact the school prior to the event to excuse your student.
