Dear Parents and Guardians of the RHS Class of 2026,
We are writing to share important information regarding the Riverton High School graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026.
Graduation is scheduled for May 17, 2026. Traditionally, this ceremony is held in the RHS gymnasium; however, due to construction circumstances beyond the school’s control, the gymnasium will not be available. The gym demolition is scheduled to begin in early April, which is earlier than originally anticipated. Construction timelines are subject to the contractor’s schedule and availability.
As a result, the Class of 2026 graduation ceremony will be held on the Wolverine Turf field. The turf venue will allow for a seating capacity of approximately 2,000 attendees.
We understand that this change may prompt questions or concerns. To ensure accurate and consistent communication, we ask that all questions be held until our scheduled meeting. A Senior/Parent Graduation Meeting will be held on:
Tuesday, February 3rd at 6:00 p.m.
RHS Auditorium
During this meeting, we will address comments and concerns, review graduation logistics, and provide detailed information regarding the ceremony.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to provide a meaningful and safe graduation experience for our seniors. We look forward to seeing you at the February 3rd meeting.
Sincerely,
Thomas Jassman, Principal
Erica Thoman, Senior Sponsor
